Equipment Installer
Kitchener, ON
Tasks:
- Installation of mobile radios, data terminals, docking stations and/or other electronics equipment into various types of trucks, cars, heavy equipment, and/or specialty vehicles
- Installation of base stations, repeaters, and/or other electronics equipment into tower site enclosures, offices, and/or other indoor locations
Essential Skills:
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Attention to detail
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Well organized and able to multi-task
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work with team
Hours:
Full-time (40 hours per week)
Senior Two-Way Radio Technician
Sarnia, ON
Education:
Electronics Technologist (Preferred) or Electronics Technician Diploma (Minimum)
Job Descrption:
· Testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, installation and repair of radio system infrastructure and subscribers
· Troubleshooting and problem diagnosis of conventional and trunking systems (analog and digital)
· Complete and maintain test and service reports
· Aid in pre-sale system design
· Provide pre and post-sale technical support to Spectrum’s sales staff
Security and Safety:
· Police security clearance
· Criminal record check
· Driver’s validity license check
Essential Skills:
- Capable of continuous learning at a rapid pace
· Critical thinking
· Problem solving skills
· Reading text/Document use
· Working well in a team environment AND able to function independently
· Computer skills are essential
Work Site Environment:
- In shop work
· On-site (customer location) work
· Remote (tower site) location work
