Professionals who must work in and around flammable gases or vapors, ignitable dust or fibers, or other environmental dangers can depend on the Motorola MTX1550 model. This radio is ideal for daily use in such industries as Petroleum/Oil Refining, Mining and Chemical Manufacturing. The MTX1550 portable is Canada Standards Association (CSA) Approved as intrinsically safe for permitted application use in locations* Zone 1, Ex ib IIC and Class II, Groups E, F, G, and Class III when used with Motorola battery NNTN5510, and CSA approved accessories as outlined in manual number 68007024013. Temperature code T4. In addition to being CSA Approved, the MTX1550 radio offers enhanced features to help further improve safety. This radio is easy to identify from a distance as intrinsically safe due to its bright colour.
